More than ever, it's time to shop for a hybrid or an electric.

I wish. But I'm one of many Americans who live rurally and commute; hybrids and electrics work great for my In-Laws in metropolitan Chicago, but for we rural Texans who put somewhere between 600-1000 miles per week on the car, almost all of them highway miles with few stop signs? Not so much. We're just, well, we moved out here just a few months before Hurricane Katrina and if we had to do it again, as much as we love our few acres and our little spot in the country, I'm not sure we would do it again.
