inspired appropriately amused treatment in a Paul Krugman column, which includes the text of the release in its raving entirety. Gingrich's release also provoked a (literally and figuratively) hysterical performance by actor John Lithgow, who was sporting enough to do a walk-on as the nutty Newtster on The Colbert Report.
